6-24-10 A Dog’s Life
A dog’s life. . .what does that mean? When I researched it, I found that that it means a miserably, unhappy existence, as in “He’s been leading a dog’s life since he fell on bad times.” Hmmm. . . How did this become the meaning?

Let’s study these photos and find if Abby is leading “a dog’s life.” As you can see, she is again taking to the country roads. Her tail helps us to find her more easily!

Yes, she’s running toward us, getting closer with each stride.

Look at her go! Come on, girl!!

Does her gait make you feel she’s miserable? Does her uplifted tail and perky ears make you think she’s feeling low? When I see her, I feel uplifted, I feel a joyful energy in her run. Does she lead a dog’s life?

She’s arrived at last, and runs right by me! Occasionally she does this. To us humans it seems like a tease, like the handshake where the person extends a welcoming hand, then quickly pulls it back to slick back their hair.

When she does this “fly-by,” she turns around and asks for more.

Fetch anyone? Be miserable with me.

oh, I just love the wording in the post, to cute!
