6-22-10 Abby on a Gravel Road
What could be capturing the attention of these two curious kids? Is it a gentle breeze on a lonely gravel road? Could it be the song of a meadow lark or a wren? Hmmm. . .

Of course, it’s Abby Sunshine! She is bolting down the road a million miles an hour! OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration. She’s charging down the road as fast as a cheetah! OK, maybe that, too, is an exaggeration. How fast is she running? I’m not sure, but she’s much faster than those I’ve seen try to race her.

Now where could she be headed after such a lovely jaunt in the country?

Oh, I wonder if she is getting a drink. It looks like it from here, with her fluffy tail upright, wagging and even blowing in the breeze!

Sure enough. She gets thirsty, too. In fact, it’s making me kind of thirsty. Doesn’t she make that water look cold and thirst-quenching? Imagine the sound of a dog slurping it up. I think I’ll go get a drink.
